Pond Maintenance

Ponds are generally low-maintenance features and only need to be tended to a few times per year.

•In the spring, leaves and other debris must be removed from the empty pond prior to filling to ensure clean, clear water for enjoyment all season.

•During the summer, only occasional checkups for water quality and pump function should be done.

•After all the leaves have fallen for the Autumn, ponds should be drained and cleaned to make spring cleaning easier and to reduce the risk of mold and wildlife hibernation.
